In a see-saw away battle with Clare, the Cats had their moments.
There were many positives from the game but that Brian Cody’s side conceded four goals to the Banner may be a red flag for some.
The breaching of the Noreside defence may certainly provide food for thought for team management but following good wins over Dublin, Antrim and Wexford there is hardly any reason to press panic buttons.
That the result of Sunday’s game meant little except county pride may put the outing into perspective but the four-goal salvo will probably niggle some.
What really matters is how the Cats perform against Wexford in the Leinster Championship semi-final.
That is provided of course that the Wexicans get over Laois in a previous championship game.
