A LOCAL brother and sister are set to fight for titles in the Irish Boxing Championships.
Lee Walsh, aged 12, and Abby, aged 16, from Garryricken, Windgap have already won Leinster crowns.
Both are members of Callan Boxing Club where head coach Jimmy Walsh predicts a bright future for the beginners who have been boxing for a mere two years.
Lee beat a fighter, also called Walsh, from CBS, Wexford in Boy 2 at 37kg while Abby won at Girl 4.
Both are students of Coláiste Abhainn Rí, Callan.
Their parents are Stephen and Sinead Walsh. Stephen is a coach in the Callan Club.
