FAMILIES that partied at MacDonagh Junction at Easter were certainly on the right track.
Crowds that gathered at the shopping centre were joined by the Easter bunny.
There was a special appearance by Chocolate King Willy Wonka.
The Easter Bunny visited on Easter Saturday, bouncing with excitement, entertaining customers with hugs and high fives and encouraging everyone to get involved in the search for Easter Eggs hidden throughout the centre.
On Easter Monday, families enjoyed a host of entertainment including an exciting magic show by Willy Wonka, an arts and crafts zone and an opportunity to snap a photo in front of the iconic Chocolate Factory gates.
To top off the day’s entertainment, revellers were given treats hand-made by the Oompa Loompas.
Centre Marketing Co-ordinator Leanne Smyth was a happy bunny.
“We had an amazing turnout for our Easter entertainment, it was heart-warming to see big numbers of families visiting the centre for our first Easter event in two years,” she told Kilkenny Press.
“It’s great to be able to give back to a local community that has continuously supported us throughout the years by providing entertainment over the Easter break.
“It was so rewarding to see so many smiling faces.”
