A CONCERNED local man has emailed a group of what he terms ‘people who hold positions of influence and trust in Kilkenny’, bringing to their attention what he describes as important facts on deaths in Kilkenny, particularly sudden deaths.
Patrick E. Walsh of Maudlin Court, Thomastown, County Kilkenny outlines what he describes as frightening figures but gives no opinion one way or the other as to what the causes of the excess deaths might be.

If not, what’s happening exclusively in Kilkenny?
If so, then Irish people are dying at unprecedented rates.
“I feel it is my civic duty to bring these frightening figures to the attention of people who receive this email and others who are in a position of influence and trust in Kilkenny,’ he told Kilkenny Press.
“To get public answers/explanations from those in authority and power (national politicians, civil servants and national media, someone must first raise and acknowledge the problem in public.
“I would request those who get this email to act on the above information to the best of their ability and fulfill their position of trust with the people of Kilkenny.
“A reckoning will come, as it always does, and we are all answerable to our own conscience and our nation as to how and when we acted.”
The email was sent to local councillors Michael Doyle, Joe Lyons, Peter Cleere, Pat O’Neill, Deirdre Cullen and Seán McKeown, Kilkenny County, along with Dermot Ryan of Ossory.
It was also emailed to media outlets, the Kilkenny People, Kilkenny Observer, KCLR 96FM and Community Radio, Kilkenny City
