Aisling Phelan, pictured, represented Castlecomer AC in Tullamore at the Leinster Track & Field championships.
She was drawn in the first heat of the U14 80metres which she won in a time of 10.91.
She was second in the final in a time of 10.94.
The race was won in a time of 10.72 seconds. This is another great achievement for Aisling and a particularly satisfying one as she has just returned from injury. She will compete in the All-Ireland Championships in July.
The county B Track & field was held in Thomastown GAA pitch. There was strong club participation across a variety of track and field events.
