Kilkenny minor hurlers battled bravely but still found Galway too hot to handle in the All-Ireland semi-final on Friday.
The Cats never reached the heights they hit when beating a gallant Wexford in a cracking Leinster final.
Trailing by six points at half time, the hope was that the Kilkenny young guns would be blazing for the second period but it wasn’t to be.
The final score was Galway 0-23, Kilkenny 1-12. The winners meet Cork in the All-Ireland final.
