A DAUGHTER of Kilmoganny is to be feted by her community at its local festival.
On Saturday, July 30 Afternoon Tea from 2pm to 4pm at Kilmoganny Festival will be dedicated to Margo Moran
in appreciation of all the work she did for her community over the years.
This will be in the local St Eoghan`s Centre.
That night in Dunphy`s Pub barbecue will be from 7pm to 9.30pm followed by music with Highland Paddies.
On Sunday, July 31 it will be back to St Eoghan’s Centre for a full Irish breakfast from 9am to 12 noon.
Caroline`s Boutique will be open on both days.
There will be a beautiful picture display by James Creaney, Kilmoganny.
Pictures will be of all this area and beyond.
At 2pm. there will be a Teddy Bears’ Picnic for all children under 12 hosted by Dunnamaggin Hurling Club on the Kilmoganny pitch.
This will be followed by mini matches and then skills’ coaching by Kilkenny hurler Adrian Mullen.
The U 20 All-Ireland winners will also bring the U20 trophy and sign autographs.
Tribute match for the late Brendan Fennelly begins at 4.30pm on the Kilmoganny pitch with hurlers
from the clubs he trained during his long hurling career.
Barbecue will be in Dunphy’s from 5pm to 7.30pm.
The F……Match, a game with a difference will be hilarious as always, with the usual suspects plus newcomers. Throw-in is at 7.30pm.
Balloon Raffle first prize is €400. Music is by Two 2 Groove at 10pm.
